I am a Vanderbilt and UCLA trained, board-certified psychiatrist, and I am currently a trainee in the Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Training Program at the San Francisco Center for Psychoanalysis to become a child psychoanalyst.
I've practiced medicine continuously since 2007 and currently holds an active medical license in California.
My work history includes positions at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, University of California Los Angeles, and Integrated Behavioral Health and Specialty Mental Health of Santa Cruz County. I have completed two separate psychiatry residency programs and two different fellowship programs in the US and South Korea, resulting in board certifications in general psychiatry, geriatric psychiatry, and hospice and palliative medicine. These extensive training and experience have led me to become a published author('죽음을 읽는 시간') and public speaker.
As a first-generation immigrant, my goal is to foster a healthier community that values diversity. I have been caring for entire families, particularly those who have immigrated from their home countries and recently settled in the Bay Area.
As a mother, wife, sister, and daughter, having a meaningful time with my family is the top priority in my life.
